3D hurts your eyes and brain

I've wondered if my getting a headache after watching a 3D movie such as Avatar was just me or not, and now it turns out that 3D at the theater can cause visual discomfort, fatigue, and headaches. It apparently mainly happens at long distances and not things you are close to, such as monitors and smartphones.
